You learned that the development of high-performing teams comes from employee satisfaction and engagement. Highly performing teams are intrinsically and extrinsically motivated to reach common goals. As we learned how important it is to keep employees motivated, we also learned that there are individual motivational factors. Here is your opportunity to discuss your motivational factors.

For your initial post, discuss the following:

  • What motivates you?
  • Describe a situation in which you were extremely motivated to perform well at work; conversely, describe a situation that was a motivation killer.

For your reply post, discuss the following:

  • Discuss what stands out most to you in the examples posted by your classmates.
  • Review your classmates’ thoughts on motivations. Do you have similar motivations or are they different? If different, discuss why they are different and how that impacts your performance.

In other cases we do things because theirs rewards involved in it that’s motivation too because you’re motivated by the reward you’re going to get. Most of the time we don’t see it but most of the stuff we do is because were motivated by something or someone.
